Hi everybody ! This is quite new and interesting for me, I am using octagon sf4008 uhd and DRO EK-Ekselans LNB Quad, is it possible to catch this frequency on the system I mentioned above - first of all, how I have to make the necessary adjustments in the receiver and therefore - is this LNB able to catch such a frequency ? Thanks !
I don't personally know your LNB or receiver. If the LNB is a PLL type, then you could try it with your receiver for the 10495 TP.
If the tried frequency is out of range , you will need some kind of converter to shift the frequency to within the IF range of your receiver.
 
Got there in the end! Neither of my cards would tune low enough but I found a very old frequency shifter in a box of bits. Tried a Global ADX+ but that only shifted incoming signals 500MHz or 1GHz the wrong way but the other one (unbranded because there's no outer casing) works perfectly so it's now connected via a diseqc switch to a twin Inverto BU, means I can watch it via Dream as well as CS/VLC.

No chance, no CS support. There`s no chance to find out the scanning range. No scanning program supports it, yet.
This card deserves support as it can show so much!

Regarding to the new 10495 frequency I found out that must be 9750 to tune it, because now my Octagon SF4008 UHD does not accept that frequency under 10700. I will with 9750 tuning on receiver then we will see my LNB will get it or not, I have also Inverto White tech flange LNB.

Alice through the looking glass time, John. With the SUP2400, the spectrum output is reversed, so you need to change the LOF for that frequency. Try 8834 or thereabouts for 10492.

It's a pain. Maybe we could use the C-Band setup on the Promax, which reverses the spectrum (if the LO can be changed from the default C-Band LOF's - not near my Promax ATM).

Well that works using the C-Band option John. You just scan from right to left, the frequencies increasing accordingly. Set the LOF to 12150 :D

(LNB's LOF 9750 + SUP 2400 = 12150)

... I did it the cheapskate thicko's way Llew - lined the marker up on the main freq and then adjusted the LO readout on the Promax untill it read the DL freq out top left of Promax screen. I'll adjust it correctly now lol.

I left EBS scanning today and found three signals, 10491 is the Amsat loop. It would be a lot more convenient (for me) if CS would loop the blindscan but Crazycat wouldn't add the option.
