Hi,

I have a DM 500 (replica). i had PLI image on it and it would randomly stop connecting via ethernet, as if the connection was dropping, i reflashed it with nabilo but the problem is still there.

The problem is though when iu use my old router it seems to work more often than not, when I use my new one it never works. I have two different TP-Link routers.

any ideas?

I would check the integrity of the cat 5 cable and RJ 45 connectors, I have seen many connections in the past dropping in and out only to change the cable and have no further problems

Agreed, also check for sharp bends or snags in the cable. Your two routers could also be using different firmware revisions.

Another thing to try would be to daisy chain a switch between the receiver and the router. Sometimes certain combinations of Ethernet chips sets can cause have trouble because of slightly different voltage levels. This causes problems which can bring a connection down.

Adding a switch has cured this for me in the past.
