OK, so with the annual cheese fest coming up in a couple of weeks time, I'd be interested in recording a clean feed (in HD preferably) of the final as I've read is usually provided by the EBU on on 7°E each year.

My questions are; has anyone got experience of receiving these feeds? If so, what size dish is necessary usually? I only have a 60cm dish so I'm guessing this could be a problem with feeds being often lower in power than 'standard TV channel' transponders.

Also, my receiver is a Dreambox 500HD, are the Eurovision feeds in 4:2:2 and if so, is there a way of still recording it using the Dreambox tuner and a computer?

Thanks in advance!

VLC media player on your PC has the required codecs to record 4:2:2 streams from your Dreambox via LAN.

Does anyone know if these feeds are lurking around on 10e/7e right now? Rehearsals went underway yesterday and are being broadcast to the press, in the press centre and to broadcasters via satellite so im guessing they must be there somewhere.

Are you familiar with Satelliweb?

The Feed afficionados provide lots of info there

Prbably on 7E on the EBU capacity - however its secure encrypted.

Thanks for all the information everyone! It looks as if it will be on 7°E and probably 10°E too judging by what that site says about feeds for previous years. It looks as if it should be FTA but in 4:2:2 MPEG4 HD.

I still don't know if my dish will be big enough (I doubt it unfortunately), but I'll give it a go this week as you never know unless you try! :D

On Monday 9th of May 2011 (tomorrow), the official EBU feed broadcasting the REHEARSALS of EUROVISION will start on 7ºE. - The feed will start at 14:00-14:30 CET.

Can anyone write down here the details of the feed broadcast? - Many of us would be very thankful for your help!

By the way, it will be on 7ºE like every year. - likely SR:19.200 as always. - Which frequence? Can anyone check it on monday morning?

I believe an SD transponder has started on 7°E with three 4:2:2 SD streams carrying some behind the scenes Eurovision stuff, apparently the signal is quite weak -

Frequency: 10998 - Pol: V - SR: 9874 - FEC: 3/4 (in DVB-S2)

According to the site that Tivù linked to.

Still don't know what the HD one'll be yet.

And the HD one's up:

Frequency: 11075 - Pol: H - SR: 19200

Will be having a play about later. :D

Not picking up HD but getting the others fine with test cards

Just checked Satelliweb and it's full HD with 37 M/Bits but they've stopped it right now

What sized dish are you using?

Mine's 60cm here in Staffordshire so I'm just wondering if I'm likely to get anything at all.

Cheers.

Any of you will be able to record the rehearsals in full?
Thanks for your answer.

I'm also trying to record them but right now there's no picture.
