You can forget spot D in Portugal with any sensible sized dish - you are well out of coverage area. B & C are not favourable either

You should be able to get beam A, but there is no guarantee its actually active - many of the flysat reports for less active birds are guesswork based on signal strengths at one or two places.

All of the currently active feeds are on footprint spot D re flysat but Lyngsat says they are shared with A & D ?
I think Lyngsat was mislead by the frequency plan of e-Bird (the original name of Eutelsat 31A) that has some confusing remarks like "Combined Spot A + D".
But clearly the transponders are named according their respective beams.

Its right at the bottom of its wobble atm so only people with inclined orbit tracking will have any chance.

I think is hard i get turksat promo but only objective is get the satellite.

He stands a chance to get a glimpse of it, I get a fair few satellites well out of coverage using a 1.2 dish

jomagone,

The satellite is on the arc at approximately 08:35 and 20:35 today, that is when you should get maximum signal without elevation tracking. To keep a constant lock on the satellite you need a dish fitted with inclined orbit tracking as there is currently a 4.1 degree variance on position between the lowest and highest points the satellite reaches.

Have you added elevation tracking to your 2.4m dish setup or did you wait until the sattelite was near to the arc to capture the feed signal?

Rgds
No not yet D, it was on/near the arc at the time of lock.

Hi, i joined to the forum a long time ago just for curiosity while i was looking for a portuguese comunity. Recently i purchased a 1,25m off dish for sports feeds and i'm looking for some information about inclined orbits. This is my first post on the forum, as jomagone, i'm from portugal and i'm interessed in eutelsat 31A too. How can i get the info about the time of satellite being on the arc?

Remember that the satellite is moving quite rapidly - you might well find you can only watch an hour or so at a time as the bird rattles across the arc.
