My Satellite Setup
Dr HD F15, OS mio + 4K, Octagon SF8008, Octagon SX88+. TM 5402HD M3. .Channel Master 1.20 Ku and C Band. 1.1 Triax Dish
My Location
Berkshire
Now this satellite is slotted in at 36west I wonder what it will be used for? Regular services or data / feeds?? It will interesting to see...

Still getting nothing from this satellite despite Eutelsat saying it is operational?

EUTELSAT 36 West A
The EUTELSAT 36 West A satellite (formerly EUTELSAT 12 West A) is now operated at 36° West.

The down-link maps have been removed now EUTELSAT 36 WEST A - Eutelsat

The link that I posted in #2 now reads 404 - Page not found

My guess is that the footprint is aimed away from Europe as no satellite chart has reported any activity probably aimed over the Atlantic Ocean for maritime data services like the majority of satellites from 36 west to 55.5 west are used for at this end of the arc.

Not seeing anything from 36 West here in the States either.

Yes that will be the correct satellite, nothing else several degrees nearby can do that freq.
Hope you report to Flysat, to get 36WA from "empty" to the main list!
 
Not seeing it here in the States, but didn't really expect to. Does anyone have a current footprint map for Eutelsat 36W A?

Active part of the Ku band for E36 W is 10950 to 11450 + 12500 to 12750
Just one active transponder found 11673 V 24050 in the lower Ku band unable to resolve as it is data it does not match anything coming from Telstar 11N
FlySat Telstar 11N @ 37.5° West but it may be bleed over from 37.5 west I will check.
 
Stronger signal 11673 V 24050 Dummy transponder whatever that means ? comes fro 37.5 west Telstar 11N

The other frequency 11373 H 6666 3/4 DVB-S is not possible on T11N so must have come from Eutelsat 36 West A @ 36.0°W so an excellent find by mar-val
