Thanks to all guys! I see from @Dave5118, that this TP is significantly weaker than the rest (13 dB vs ~16/17dB ), since I get all the rest around 12-12,5dB, it's maybe not that strange that I cannot see 12700 here but as pointed out, I'm way out of the footprint, it's not bad alignment then :-)

Italia 2 and sportitalia dissapeared on 12606 V

I was surprised that Sport Italia is only available now to a much smaller audience on the 9 east Italian footprint with very much reduced advertising revenues maybe it will return to 13 east ?

Sportitalia is now even broadcasting in HD... I guess it has enough revenues to continu broadcasting FTA (and in HD) over the Italian terrestrial network. That's the only reason they are on 9 east.

I Guess this is the beginning of the end of FTA Italian multistream channels on 5 West... Other channels will follow and cease broadcasting on 5 West.

The TDF FM radio feeds on 11480H really are melt-the-LNB-cap levels of strong.

I’m measuring 19.2dB C/N on my 80cm dish, with about 15m of cable and a DiSEqC switch in-between.

The official footprints show levels of 53-54 DBW in South UK, so a reasonable 30cm dish should get them.

Good Morning. I live in Toledo (Spain)
I can't open the 11508 H (France 2) transponder. I have 0 signal.
The 11012V, 11179V and 11509 H transponders have a 78-80% signal.
I have a 1m antenna and an Octagon SF 8008.
I want to put an inverto black ultra LNB.
I appreciate your comments. Thank you

Buenas tardes.........
I am in Torrevieja, Alicante and as per the attachment foto there is very good signal quality of 11509 H 29500.........sure you are aware that the channels are obtained by using Multistream configuration as indicated by 'Flysat':-
11509 H
DVB-S2/8PSK
MPEG-4
Multistream

For me, using receiver Octagon SX88+ Optima COMBO.

Good luck with this theme. :Y:Y

Buenas tardes.

Good afternoon.
Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I have the Octagon SF 8008 with OpenAtv.
I see perfectly the French 12648 V Multistream, Italian MIS 11012 V, 11179 V and 12522 V transponders. They have a signal around 80%.
I do not know if it is an antenna problem (it measures 1 meter), LNB, orientation ...
a greeting

All 5WB transponders being received at Galway West of Ireland. I have noticed the quality level has increased a little at night on the MS frequency 11.509 (using 1.25 Gilbertino Inverto Quad Ultra LNB
Hi Galway,
Someone try to install a 90cm satellite dish for Fransat but he said to me that he can't get the signal.
I live near Clonakilty. I wonder if it is so hard to point the dish.
Any help would be very much appreciated

Even using a cheap meter you should quickly find a signal, providing your dish is big enough.

You need to find someone near you, who can get the channels, to see what size dish you might require.

Unlike Eutelsat 5WA which had massive signals all over Europe Eute 5WB has more tightly focussed beams. Up here in Southern Scotland 5W is barely worth bothering with nowadays even on a 1m dish. I'd say the beam or the signals have been tweaked since I last looked as Ive lost most of the signals. About the only frequency Im getting signals on are 11480H 3215 which carries French radio channels and is spectacularly uninteresting!

As already mentioned in this thread the Transalpine has a very high fade at the edge of the footprint so even a 180 cm dish will not find this signal.transalpine.png

There was a European beam on E5WB but due only 50% of the power is available due to only one solar panel working this has been turned off.

So due to lack of available power this beam was switched off :(

Fair enough thank you for this answer will move to Astra.

Hello Williams, it's sure; it will be more difficult to find a good signal on the 5WB but a lot of people living far from the edge still receive enough the MIS channels (for ex, member V_allejandro has a 120 cm in Sweden)
The same situation in the east side of Europe (Ukraine dx reception with 125 cm !!).. thus theorical footprint given by Eutelsat not the reality ! ;)
