After some channels like Libya Al Ahrar HD and syria news removed from eutelsat 3 degree east and moved to other satellites ( 16 and 10 degree east), it seems that this satellite will move toward 5 degree east.

As predicted here in this thread some Libya TV has moved from 3.1 east FlySat Eutelsat 3B @ 3.1° East to 10 east
FlySat Eutelsat 10A @ 10° East

No they are not in a hurry.
I sent an e-mailed to Eutelsat yesterday as to the current situation @ 5 west & still await a reply,
All will be revealed very soon.

They must know by now what state the craft is in & just how bad the damage is to the solar panel subsystems. r

No way will a crippled craft be integrated into the fleet - W2M was never due to be integrated after that bird suffered power system faults - they had to bring her into service though to cover the W2 on station failure.

Hopefully I will find some test carriers @ 1.5° east for Eutelsat 5 West B .

Not looking good for Eutelsat 5 West B,

Eutelsat are very silent at the moment about any activity for future satellites at 5 west & so is this satellite.

Something's alive. One of the beacons is active on 11199.8MHz circular or mixed pol. It's just detectable with Crazyscan.
I can't see any of the other 3 beacons.

I confirm that only the beacon (telemetry) is active, frequency 11199,80 in circular polarity LHCP.

According to flysat more channels are leaving 3 degree east like alnojba and alahwaz tv. It shows thar eutelsat 3b will move to 5 degree east?

Not neccessarily - no sign of reports of c-band channels leaving. Channels have been coming & going from 3E for years.

In my book Eute 7A is a more likely candidate to become Eute 5 west C.
