Hi everyone,

This is my first post, so sorry if it’s posted in the wrong place! I was wondering if it’s me doing something wrong here or if it’s normal. I am trying to receive the Turkish radio stations Super Fm, Show Radio and Radyo Viva Etc on frequency 11513, H , 29900 5/6 on 7east, however it finds the channels but I can’t listen to them as it just shows landscape vids of Turkey with no sound? Is it because they are encrypted or is there a setting I need to enter when storing them Into the receiver?

my setup is an Edision OS Mio 4K +, 85cm dish and Tetchnomate 2600 H2H mount.

any clarification would be appreciated,

I also had the same issue. Are you on the TV channel list? Try to switch to "Radio" and then you should be able to find the same channels.
 
Hi William-1, thanks for the reply, I have checked out FlySat, that’s where I got the original frequencies from, I was wondering if it’s me though or if someone else can get Radyo Viva on 7east for example, or is it encrypted in some form? I know most Tv channels on 7east are not free.

I get the other radio stations and channels on 42east fine.
 
Astra19, yeah, I have tried to switch over to the Radio instead of TV, there are not many radio channels scanned free on 7east only some BBC eur feed and Publirad etc, maybe it’s worth while doing a blind scan for not free channels too and check the radio after?
 
So I have tried a full blind scan and the same radio stations appear in the radio section. Hmmm only one unnamed station shows on the radio section that’s Turkish named as 1080V SID0x21 45 - this one seems to be TRT Radyo. Any ideas peeps?!

ok thanks William-1, they are easy enough to get online, perhaps they are scrambled on that satellite after all. Thanks for your help.
 
Show Radyo and Viva should be FTA on that transponder on 7°E, the rest of the radio stations on there are encrypted except for the TRT ones. They come up as TV channels because of the 'Turkey landscapes' video track on them (I guess this is a feature used on DigiTürk boxes).

You'll see the landscapes video but hear no audio on the encrypted stations because the video stream isn't encrypted (only the audio is).
 
Hi Sat01uk, I thought I would try on another receiver to see if it was me here, the free ones you mentioned, such as Radyo Viva, show Radyo and trt and working fine on the octagon sx88, H265. The picture shows on the Yv with the audio too?! Is there some setting I need to be entering when it comes to finding them channels. I know I can get them online, but as I am here with a new satellite dish, maybe I should be trying to find out why this is not working instead;) thanks.
