First time I've tried to be honest but managed to receive 11658V 27500 2/3 North West Africa Beam 5db. Quite watchable on the 1.2CM
Just below lock on 10992 V 5000 8psk
Clear skies help I guess. The other signals from 7west and 8 west coming through well too of late.

I noticed these 2 the other night when i last scanned. I was getting around 9.7dB on 10992V (need around 10.4dB to lock 8PSK 9/10), while 11658V was giving very brief spells of intermittent lock. First time i've been close to anything on the NWA beam! This was using my 1m dish.

Can't get signal on NW Africa beam with 120cm Channel Master dish with Black Ultra LNB. How much dB do you guys have on MENA and NW Africa beams?
Both with equal parameters, f.e. both DVB-S/QPSK and same SR and FEC.

Couple of pictures attached below from the OSN package on the MENA beam.

The receiver defaulted the satellite name to Nile 201 in the scan. However, the frequency and channel presented in the pictures attached below are from Eutelsat 7 West A.

Eutelsat 7 West A, 11277 V, SR27500
encryption = Betacrypt
ID = Discovery Science HD

I have no shame... :p

Also, I am not connected in any way with the manufacturer or any sellers of the receiver. I receive no financial gain or benefit from uploading the pictures and never once have I mentioned anything about the receiver make/model or supplier.

Of course, but let's not pretend that you haven't been screencapping the channels of all these - hard to open - encrypted packages that are available "exclusively" to these receivers, and that your intention does not have anything to do but to show that you have enough signal, shall we? :D:cool::eek:

Make of it what you will, you are free to interpret my posts on the forum as you see fit.

The forum is named satellites.co.uk and I am a UK based member who is posting pictures, scan results and topics related to satellite. If you check some of my other posts you will see that I have uploaded detailed tables and charts of scan results from various satellites that are not easy to receive in the UK.

Anyone is free and entitled to their own opinions for sure.
I've been long enough here and I've seen your posts, so the introduction was not necessary.
I've also been long enough to almost any satellite forum, to have formed a personal opinion on how people buy their receivers and why. But since I can speak only for myself, I can only say what I would do.
Let's say I had a Viark, Geant or similar receiver of my own, which I never knew of its DXing capabilities, but knew very well of its decrypting capabilities, like everyone else who buys these kind of receivers.
Granted, if I didn't have anything else handy and wanted to show I receive a difficult TP for my location, I would go to the tuner menu and show that reception is possible.
What I wouldn't certainly do is screencap a decrypted channel (like for instance TF1 4K, RMC sport UHD and others) and post it as POC of the TP's reception. If I did, yes, I'd show that reception is possible, but inside I'd boast knowing I showed others what my receiver does that other receivers don't, and the real reason I bought it, which was certainly not its sensitive tuner.
But as I say, this is what I would personally do, I'm not inside the mind of anyone else!
And this is why I don't understand why you felt I was attacking you personally to go about and defend yourself of your presence and contribution.
Anyway if you felt this way, I'm sorry, that was not my intention. My comment went to the receiver and this is why I questioned the screencap's necessity with the specific content, plus this is how I would react to any post like that. Nothing to do with you!
Have fun with your receiver!
