Advice Needed Eutelsat, 7 West FEC Problem

Hi All,


MBC channels are moving to TP 11559, V, FEC 5/6, SR 27500 on Eutelsat, 7 West. No problem you think just do a manual search for that TP and add the new channels. But here is my problem I get 100% Signal Strength and Quality on FEC 3/4 only? when I change to FEC 5/6 on TP 11559 I receive nothing at all.


Can some of you Gurus out there please help or advise, I also pick up channels on FEC 3/4 but none on any of the other FEC settings.


I am British but live in Cyprus, MBC channels are the main English speaking Movie Channels.

Maybe you should try 11471V SR 27500 fec5/6 instead

11559V is the North West Africa beam - Cyprus is well out of area for that beam - it covers the bulge of Africa.

Many thanks Ocean04, worked great. Have MBC Action, MBC Max and MBC 2 back again the main film channels. How did you know about TP 1147?

Hi Analoguesat, thanks for the reply but Ocean04 resolved my problem with TP 11471, V, 27500, FEC 5/6. I should still get TP 11559 as Cyprus is within (MENA) footprint Ku-band Middle East and North Africa beam on a 100 Cm dish which I have.

No you cant get the North (west) Africa beam - check the differences

FlySat Eutelsat 7 West A @ 7.3° West Beams
