A technical problem caused this package become free to air both on 7e and 42e

According to Digiturk and this screenshot from a turkish satellite-forum, they had flooding (because of heavy rain?) in their HQ-building in Besiktas-Istanbul. And the flood ruined some of their uplink equipments & systems and the power-units. and according to their twitter account all channels/their bein connect service litterally everything will be FTA till November 30.

Interesting, Looking at that 7C East beam footprint, it would mean quite a signal decrease compared to the current 7A Europe B in large parts of Germany where I imagine a significant number of Digitürk Euro subscribers are situated! Unless they use a mixture of the two beams I suppose.

In terms of here in the SW Midlands, it looks pretty much exactly the same as 7A Europe B with probably around 46dBW if it ends up like that in practice. I was hoping I might be able to have it offset on a 13ºE facing Zone 2 minidish, which is currently very marginal (but works in clear weather), so a couple more dB would help!

Still no transfer of transponders to 7C ?
"Manufactured by Maxar Technologies, and launched on 20 June 2019, EUTELSAT 7C will be equipped with 44 operational Ku-band transponders. The satellite is due to enter into commercial service at the end of this year." https://www.eutelsat.com/en/satellites/future-launches.html

Only a few day left now for this to happen on schedule I wonder what the delay is for as Eutelsat 7C is still stationary @ 7.27°east since 28th November.

Hello everyone
According to previous news, Eutelsat announced that the launch of a new African package for Congo will be launched in mid-December on Eutelsat 7 East (Africa Beam).
The African package may have been run first on the new satellite Eutelsat 7C .

If a person is here receiving the African Beam, He can inform us of the African Beam news.

There is an African beam on 7B FlySat Eutelsat 7B @ 7° East Beams & 7A FlySat Eutelsat 7A @ 7° East Beams
It does not look like 7C will be operational until early 2020.

The 'wider coverage area' mentioned in that article (if the translation is correct), suggests they may use the wider beam rather than the tighter Turkish one (which would be more limited than currently, especially in large parts of Germany where one assumes a lot of Digiturk Euro subscribers live!)
