EUTELSAT 8 West B

Well we'll have to see more reports from the Balkans furthernorth than my location and have a rough conclusion to this beam's behaviour! If I'm in null, that will be so unfortunate!
If you are just outside the official footprint, perhaps you are in a null? Those further away might be seeing a side lobe so the signal will be a little stronger.

Struggling to scan the channels in with this one at the moment on the 1.2 dish I need a little more signal, I will try later.

Looks like it may have been there a while but only just come across it!;)

Anyone get C Band OK in the UK?.. Would a 1.2CM be sufficient?

Yep, quite a few of us. A 1.2 CM would only get you very minimal amount of channels on the strong TP's . Ideally for decent worth while results look at a 1.8 minimum or larger if you can.

... the Cband footprint for this sat in central UK is on the outer edges. Here is a quick scan from this morning on CM1.8 / AV-Comm poloriser barrel / Zinwell lnbf.

Try 3890 and 3925 R 30000. These TPs need low SNR to lock.

Indeed I found the bird last night with 3925R. App. 1.8 dB signal! (150cm dish).
I stumbled on another strange problem. I managed to lock and scan 3890R but when I try to tune to a channel I get the message 'Station not available. Check tuner configuration!'

And AFAIK that configuration is correct and is the same for other satellites via the same dish/LNB.

Edit: Don't know what happened, but now it's working fine...

Has anyone received 4153 L? The Multistream transponder? If so, besides the dish size, with which receiver?
And does anyone know if a subscription is possible for these channels?

Can't help you too much on this one @Lexzie, that freq locks ok here on the Promax analyser in North Nottinghamshire (central UK) on a 2.2 PF with an average dB of 10dB. My 6983 pc card won't catch it with the SR of 60000.
