Hi,

I have a customer who wants to receive channels which are on Eutelsat 9A. I have a 60cm dish with a universal LNB but can't get a lock on the satellite. I have done some Tooway installs before and released this is the same satellite. Do I need a Ku band LNB?

Thanks in advance.

A universal lnb will work fine they are ku band.

Check lygsat or flysat and align the dish to a transponder only on 9e so you don't pickup 10east by mistake.

try 11.996.V.27500. 3/4 its dvbs/mpeg2

An easy catch on a 60cm at your latitude i would have thought, it is for me!

Just couldn't get my meter to lock. It's an horizon S2. The channel I want is FTV HD (Fashion TV). Got a signal on box for 9A but also showing a signal for 7east too.

11881V. 60-80cm dish and a standard Ku band lnb will do fine.

Plus a DVB-S2 receiver of course.

When you give the transponder, do you mean to put that in my horizon or use the box? Sorry for my ignorance but I don't normally do that many euro installs.

Does your meter do DVB-S2?

If not try 11996V 27500 3/4 which has 4 CCTV channels on it, plus half a dozen or so encrypted services.

Ok cheers. Yeah my meter does S2. Should it lock on that then? If I pick up the channels by doing a manual scan on the box, all good then?

I can get a lock on 10e and 7e but not 9.

You cant miss 9E - shes chucking out a HUGE signal!

And yes if the box scans in the channels you have found the right sat.

I can get a lock on 10e and 7e but not 9.

If you found 10E then you where practically there. 9E and 10E can usually be picked up on the same dish as they are so close but you'd want to peak on a known signal from 9E to get it spot on the right satellite.

Thanks mate. Think I may try update my satellite list on my horizon. I've a feeling it's my meter. Just wanting to check I wasn't missing something.

Thanks everyone for your help.
