Eutelsat 9b italia beam

Just to confirm no reception here in the East of England of the Italian beam with a 100cm dish,
I was hoping that they only had a limited number of transponders on this beam & may have had to used one of the more accessible wide beams.

Also no reception of the multistream muxes here by the junction of the M5 and the M50. The mux on 12265V comes in OK. The others are visible on my Promax but no lock.

I need to check on my 1.8m. I never had a lock from Nordic beam in the past - max was 8dB. However, I *think* I had Italian beam. At least a beam that carried Italian channels. That was over a year ago though.

Here's the trace from the Promax showing the Italian beam muxes.

The C/N measurement of the multistream muxes in my .png is around 6dB. My dish is a CM 1.2m with an Octagon OSLO LNB. Outside its blowing a gale and raining heavily. I suspect with clear skies the situation will improve.

Saxony/Germany with a 85 cm dish:

12341V Italy ok
12226V Nordic ok

I can't receive any other transponder from neither the Italy, nor the Nordic Eastern beam.12226V Nordic Eastern.webp

... just a quick off topic quickie - - I see the Promax arrived, how are you getting on with it ? , glad you bought it ?.

John, I am absolutely delighted with the Promax. It has been an essential tool for seeking out signals and aligning dishes and checking out LNBs. If you remember I used to use an HP scope with a spec-an plugin. Well, the Promax does so much more than the HP but I still miss the HP for signals not covered by the Promax. SimonE

Cheers Simon - :cool::Y

Have you tried 12111 V which is used on both the Italian and the Nordic beam?

Yes, but since I'm somewhere in the middle of both beams, I don't get anything at all, when frequency reuse is applied.

I used to receive 12188 V North beam with SQ 12dB, but now it's vanished.

Today in the north east, 1.2m dish, all under lock but enough signal for the old openbox v8 to detect the transponder parameters:

12111v 27500 - nordic beam tp, frequency reused on italy beam
12149v 27500 - ditto
12189v 27500 - ditto
12226v 27500 - nordic beam only
12256v 14303 - italy beam only

Does anyone know if this Italian beam can be received in the center of Spain?
Thank you

The antenna installer has advised me, first, a satellite dish from 1.4 m onwards.
But it does not guarantee the reception of the Italian beam.
