There will be some sharing of other parts of the ku band that we will find out about later,
As the wide footprint of 10 east covers all of Europe this will be restricted usage.

Any idea what time first transmission / switch over is due to start?

So I have to ask a basic question or two dont I ...
Will 9B co-exist alongside 9A ...or completely replace it ?
I ask because during the switchover I might finally get a sniff of Saorsat albeit briefly....assuming 9B _does_ have a Ka presence.. ?

Eutelsat 9B does have Ka-band aboard, but not of the usual kind using 18...22 GHz.
The EDRS-A (European Data Relay System) payload uses 26 GHz downlink.

My guess is that 9A and 9B will co-exist for quite a while.

Probably these two moved transponders are preparations, and still from 9A.
For my location, I'd expect 9B to either give better signals or hardly a signal at all.

Transponders 12149 v 27500 & 12226 v 27500 no signal here now in the East of England have these beams moved to the Nordic & Eastern Europe or the Italian beams ?
Looking at the coverage maps these 2 footprints may prove difficult to receive here in the UK with a 100cm dish.
