
Much as I thought Hans ..Eutelsat 9B does have Ka-band aboard, but not of the usual kind using 18...22 GHz.
The EDRS-A (European Data Relay System) payload uses 26 GHz downlink.

My guess is that 9A and 9B will co-exist for quite a while.
