Eutelsat Hot Bird 13A -----> Eutelsat 8 West C

Hi all ,
Eutelsat Hot Bird 13A ( formerly , Hot Bird 6 ) is about to enter its final orbital position at 8ْ west , and when this get done , it will be renamed to Eutelsat 8 west C , it will support Eutelsats expansion at 7/8ْ west .The satellite is currently at 7.81ْ west and still heading towards 8ْ west , it is estimated to take 5 hrs to reach there .

Getting awfully crowded up there. Who is 8W aimed for?

Some Channels were shifted there from 7W quite recently too.

Maybe there's a grand plan to consolidate 7W and 8W into a single cluster, getting shot of older craft?

Dear solly , Ive heared that test carriers appeared on the vertical transponders from 11033 to 11198 for a short period , any confirmation ??

11054 H and 11137 H have been moved to E8WC , the signal is huge here in the middle east .

Anyone found a footprint map for this satellite?

I think that it's M. East ? footprint and not European .

I also get 11096H (provider EF30k/E8WB with 28 channels) at 17.0 db with F15 .
