Is this confirmation of where Eute Konnect will be slotting as well?

Rodolphe Belmer, CEO of Eutelsat, said: "The procurement of EUTELSAT 10B underpins our strategy of focusing our development in the field of connectivity. The selection of its Ku-band payload, in complement to the future KONNECT VHTS operating in Ka-band, reflects our ability to serve our customers in both Ka- and Ku-band with best-in-class space assets. Firm capacity commitments secured with major partners testify to both the quality of coverage at our 10° East location as well as the robustness of demand in the mobile connectivity segment.”

Im starting to wonder what Eutelsat's long Ku band term plan at 10E is. 10B is not a direct replacement for 10A - its got a much smaller Ku payload.

10A seems to have 46 Ku band tps.

10B is listed as having 12 Ku band tps.

Sooo what is going to be moved elsewhere??? the Eumetcast data service currently uses 2 full tps on 10A alone!

Maybe they intend to expand the amount of DTH TV activity @ 9°east currently only 34 of the available 66 Ku transponders are active on Eutelsat 9B @ 9°east.

A little difficult to work out. Currently Eutelsat 10A on Ku frequencies only transmits in the FSS & Telecom bands (10.7 - 11.7 GHz & 12.5 - 12.75 GHz) while Eutelsat 9B at present uses only the DBS band (11.7 - 12.5 GHz). As a general rule of thumb, with a few exceptions, over European skies satellites utilising FSS & Telecom frequencies are spaced 3 degrees apart while DBS frequencies are spaced 4 degrees apart where the footprint target areas have similar overlaps. Some exceptions include Eutelsat 3B (3.1 East) and Astra 4A (4.8 East) sharing the Telecom band (this caused significant issues some time back when RTS of Serbian started transmitting on the Telecom band on Astra 4A, crippling reception of services on nearby frequencies on Eutelsat 3B inc. the Digea Greek DTT feeds) , while Bulgariasat at 1.9 East is only ~3 degrees from Astra 4A in the DBS band, while Badr 4 on DBS is only 2 - 2.5 degrees away for the Astra constellation at 28.2 to 28.5 East - though the lower powers on the Badr 4 EMEA footprint across most of Western & Central Europe makes it less of a headache for Sky & Freesat installs in UK & IRL.

So with knowing that, 9 East potentially using FSS & Telecom frequencies would have to be careful not to suffer from and give mutual interference from 7 East, especially where footprints overlap. AFAIK, there aren't any spot beams on 9B that don't have the potential to not cause interference with the European beams on 7B & 7C. Could be possible though that the Telecom band or one of the FSS sub bands on 7 East may be "switched off" for European use, to be handled by Eutelsat 9B instead (with an addition of improved SNR on such frequencies compared at present to Eutelsat 10A due greater spacing away from 13 East and higher powered (spot) beams compared to the "W-series" style footprint on 10A)?

Eutelsat 10A had a 2.2GHz S band payload that never worked as the 12-meter-diameter S-band antenna aboard the Eutelsat W2A satellite suffered an anomaly that prevents its ability to provide service across Europe as required by its regulatory license.
Eutelsat W2A → Eutelsat 10A

Did they jettison S-Band aerial on this satellite ?

At EUTELSAT future satellite page it says:

EUTELSAT 10B will carry two new multi-beam HTS Ku-band payloads
EUTELSAT 10B will also carry two widebeam C- and Ku-band payloads to ensure service continuity for existing customers on the EUTELSAT 10A satellite.
So i guess 10B will be a replacement for current 10A satellite.

Yeah, but how many of those 46 TPs are actually being used? I would guess less than half due to freqs/sats overlap.
I would assume they have planned for better use of the TPs and lump more of the low sr(bandwidth) channels together on each TP and possibly have plans for 'feeds' to move to other sats, maybe even have room for them.

Also what size bandwidth are the TPs, you could replace 46 TPs of 36Mhz with 23 TPs of 72Mhz for example.

Then again, maybe they are reacting to a downturn in the need for satellite capacity due to newer terrestrial techniques, ie. g4/5 and fibre.

Eutelsat's 10B new satellite will launch in 2022
Eutelsat up's the capacity of 10B to 100 Ku band transponders + unknown amount of C band transponders. splitter-10B.jpg :-

Satellite Launches - Europe - LyngSat ( 22 Eutelsat 10B 10.0°E >100 Ku tps Eutelsat)

A second payload to extend coverage across the Atlantic Ocean, Africa and the Indian Ocean.
The satellite’s HTS payloads will be able to process more than 50 GHz of bandwidth, offering a throughput of approximately 35 Gbps.
EUTELSAT 10B will also carry two widebeam C- and Ku-band payloads to ensure service continuity for existing customers on the EUTELSAT 10A satellite.
