Chat on the F1 Forums suggests this is just another of Bernie's "motivational" ploys.

In the forum league its a 2 horse race to the win. Oily & wobbles have only 7 points between them in the race series scoring. (Its tight in the old style scoring as well between these two).

Rick is bringing up 3rd & 4th with both teams scoring 126 with Norm &. wobbles in 5th & 6th.

My teams are rank midfield, with team F1 finally finding the kers button and have moved into 10th, but team F2 is having a disaster - I think the wheel nuts havent been done up tight enough, & the wheels have fallen off! --> F2 is a lowly 20th.

A couple of general league observations:

Im not convinced by the race series scoring - I shall probably revert to the old style next season.

One thing that has been very interesting is that there have been much fewer 3 digit point scores (on the old scoring system) across the league this season compared to last - some weeks we were getting 11 or 12 three digit point scores last season, best this year has been Monza where 6 race teams score the magic ton. I think this shows its been much closer in the mid field than expected this year


Oh - and well done to our top 3 teams - you are all inside the top 500 in the entire competition!

I'll second that...I'm finding it confusing as well. And not just because I'm doing so badly LOL.

Although I found the Kers button, I'm not convinced that I'm using it properly and may revert back to whatever the 'rank' below expert is, unless I can utilise it more 'expertly'....

I kinda like the race series scoring. I was hoping to be closer to the lead, but last races disaster put pay to that Think I've a better chance in the constructors.

When you set up theres beginner level, expert level - which uses kers and a middle one which Ive forgotten. I went for the middle one as I was going to be busy this year with the new computer system at work.

Ah, see what you mean now (thought you meant there was a middle KERS setting). Unfortunately, I went for expert (always striving, never reaching) which has proved to be my downfall this season......nothing to do with selection of drivers, chassis, engines, tyres.........

Fantastic 5 wheel change for Lewis, I cannot remember having seen that before since paddle clutches and gear changes came in, I may be wrong but it looked so slick it had to have been practiced
