I´ve fitted a few of these. If you don´t already have it, don´t get it is my advice. You will get roughly the same signal using a 1.5mtr offset dish as these are terrible things.

Are you talking about a petalled dish or the extension panels for a 2.4 dish Hoppo 1?

I have a Fortec 2.4 petal dish, took a lot of care with the assembly and I get everything except BBC 2, 3, & 4 24/7

Sorry mate thought i was a petalised dish. Where abouts on the CB are you. For BBC 2 you need something like a 4.1mtr dish to get it all day, so adding petals won´t make a lot of difference. For ch4,
C4 is available on the "TTon4" label on 12480V (2A North beam)
C4 is on 12480V tagged as 12035 (2A north beam)
C4 +1 on 12480V tagged as 12040 (2A north beam),
the above pasted from a Rolw post.

extension petals on a 2,4 will get you bbc2 for about 1/2 to 1 hour extra...

for the cost v benefits it is not really worth it...

i have done a few for clients who insisited that i put them on....against my saying that the benefits are not worth while..but they insisted...and a few days after i had put them on one phoned me up to say i was correct that they dont make a lot of difference...

as hoppo said to get bbc2 in CBN for almost 24/7 you are looking at a 4m dish...

The extension petals are really meant for installs in Cyprus and other "really" hard to get areas. There they are pretty much essential for BBC1, ITV, etc. Here on the CB they add more noise in the signal and do the LNB no good from the strong signals from Eurobird.
As woburny said, cost/benefit wise, a definite NO NO.
What LNB do you currently have?

The Sharp is the best for Gandia, but is only a single outlet. Do you need the Quad?

I have one of these dishes ( famaval 2.4 ) for picking up 28.2 ( in cyprus ) and im very satisfied with the output of it.Also using the extensions at a friends house ( larnaka ) he is able to pickup bbc and itv without glitches except between 19:00 - 21:00 local time (using pace 2600 he elliminates the glitches more rather than with dm500 ).Both using the invacoms new series HD quad Lnbs ( even with the old series we had good results ) choosing the strongest output of the 4.

Brill, can you also receive Channel 4? If so I might retrofit my own dish that way,

Hi - Here in Valencia I get reasonable coverage from a 2.4m Fortecstar petalised dish but cannot get as much as Syd who is well to the south of me. I have looked into dishes here and several people are getting good coverage almost 24/7 from good 1.8 Prime focus dishes and 1.9 offset dishes - I stress good ones - not cheap ones.

I am considering the Famaval 2.4 as an upgrade as with my Humax Freesat receiver I can just about hang onto BBC3 and BBC4 until 9pm and I don't think it would take too much of an improvment to get accepatable coverage. Most reputable dealers seem convinced such a change will give me much better results BUT I am also considering the Andrews 1.9 offset as I have heard that too gives pretty fantastic results around here - the Andrews 2.4 would be even better but is way out of my price range - however m,y main point is that no-one I know around here seems to think a 4 m dish is needed - in fact I know of no one who has bigger than a 2.4 with extensions.
