BMW Sauber's Nick Heidfeld has launched a competition that gives his fans the chance to pen a special helmet livery, which he will use during his home race at the Nurburgring next month. Heidfeld and his long-standing designer, Jens Munser, will handpick the winning entry, before it is used to decorate a helmet supplied by manufacturing company Schuberth. "The purpose of this competition is to allow my fans to give free rein to their artistic talents in coming up with a suitable design for my outing at the Nurburgring,? Heidfeld said. "I'm looking forward to seeing the results of all this creative input. I am always on the lookout for new ideas - in the case of my current helmet design, I got the inspiration from a snowboarder.?
