Following the departure of Massimo Rivola, Toro Rosso have announced that Gianfranco Fantuzzi will take over as team manager ahead of the 2009 season. Fantuzzi began his career with Ferrari back in the 1970s, eventually working as a race engineer in the 90s, before joining Minardi. Following a spell in charge of logistics at Toyota, in 2006 the Italian joined Toro Rosso as general manager.
