Actress Farrah Fawcett, who became an icon of 1970s US television, has died of cancer in Los Angeles aged 62.

I was no fan of Charlie's Angels but she was certainly a reason to watch.
 
Great shame, when I was in my twenties, everyone I knew had her poster on their wall.

Turned out to be a pretty good actress in later life as well.

A great shame indeed, I have no doubt she lived a very full life but quite a short one as well for the fairer s_x.
 
RIP I remember in her heydays she was married to Lee Major who played Steve Austin, the 6 million dollar man.
 
Farrah Fawcett died yesterday 25th June at the age of 62 due to illness.
Became famous when she appeared in Charlie's Angels in 1976.
R.I.P Farrah.
 
She was rather famous before Charlies Angels, not only in films (Logans Run springs to mind), but in many adverts flogging toothpaste, shampoo and even cars.
