FCIS 7000 "connection error"

I have the null modem rs232 cable, I have the boxloader 1.2 software, I have the laptop and the FCIS 7000 (galaxis/mvision) receiver, instructions and a bit of a brain - but blow me I just keep getting a "open error" or "connection error" everytime I try to use the boxloader. I am sure someone or many out there know exactly what I am talking about. PLEASE HELP!

Please let me know, I changed my F1000 software now I cannot
change it back
 
try that x-vision site,they are usually quite helpful.i cant remember the url though
