Ferrari issued another statement on Thursday relating to the alleged theft of technical information from the team, which has seen the subsequent departure of Nigel Stepney and the suspension by McLaren of one of their top engineers.
In it, Ferrari reveal it was a source outside of Formula One racing that tipped them off to the possibility of a member of McLaren's personnel having obtained intellectual property belonging to the Italian team.
