fibo motor parts .

i need a few fibo motor parts . the h22b1 , brass gear and motor itself . if anyone has some parts or a non working motor that has some of the parts i need i would gladly welcome your responce .

i really want my new (to me) fibo up and running . i want to keep the original look so please no need to sujest alternatives .

You could try getting in touch with gunnar over on fibo owners. He has quite a few Fibo parts for sale and might be able to help you out.

ive put a thread on fibo owners but not much response .

im going to buy a complete replacement anyway but i would like to repair the one i have as a spare .

btw . im going to try your ( rick ) 5v mod ive seen on this site . i have a dp6600 to try it on .

You could try dropping him a PM. I know he is traveling about at the momen't and I'm not expecting to hear from him about a motor I've ordered till next week.

It's a good mod for a positioner. Saves buying a new one, or getting hold of something like an old echostar to use as a positioner. Make sure the 7805 regulator has a heatsink, otherwise they can get too hot and burn out.

great advice rick , i bought a motor off gunnar and its working great .

but i did the 5v mod and the cap on the output burnt out . i have to input to a 21v line , will a heatsink stop the cap burning out ?

Could just be a bad cap. It's the regulator that gets hot and needs a heatsink, on mine atleast. I would replace the cap, and double check your solder joints, a bad joint can cause them to burn out, and it's easy done.

i soldered the cap in backwards , dont ask .

trying to rush as ive now finally got everything to setup my fibo for good , although i will be upgrading the lnb in the new year with qdf031 unless you know of a lnb that works better on a 90cm fibo .

ive got a pace mss500 to use for now and i will replace the cap and get a heatsink before i try the dp6600 again .

I've a Inverto WhiteTech on mine. I'm thinking about upgrading to the Inverto Black Pro Inverto - IDLB-SINF01-OOPRO-OPP - Single Flange LNB but weather it would be any better or worse I'm not sure.
