Well a week on and still present at a good strength ..
Is it possible to identify if the power was simply upped on NSS5 ..or indeed the CNN mux has transfered to NSS7..
Excuse my ignorance on this ...but possible to correctly identify the source ?

..for future reference ..is there any way to iterrogate the data to ascertain this info ..or do we just wait untill the satellite operator informs us .?

The frequency should give a clue, and if you are able to locate the NIT table from the receiver, there should be a new transponder number when something moves satellite.

In this case the frequency remained the same ..
So possibly the NIT table ...if I had access to the original I could compare ..but of course ..when CNN was broadcasting from NSS5 ..the signal was so weak ..this was impossible.
A useful tip though ..I'll keep it in mind for future encounters.

Yes indeed ..Christian is now aware of the changeover ..and he replied to me last night to confirm the changeover ..
The Satellite designation has now been swapped from NSS5 to NSS7
I also made him aware a few days ago that there are now approx 15 streams on the CNN mux ..so I expect this to be reflected in the listings eventually.

Not that I know of Costa ...and like you ..I have yet to see anything in ku
