Hi all,

I have nabilo darkstar 2 installed in my dm 528s.
Everything seems ok but when I scan for transponders I can't find any.
Satfind shows SNR:63 AGC:88 BER:0
After run Transponder Scan I have:
0 new transponders,
0 new TV services
0 new Radio services and
0 new data services

Does anyone have a tip?

tks

Not enough info in your post, what Ku band satellite are you pointing at? what dish size? how have you confirmed you are aligned to a sat? what have you done to scan for transponders? As you are over the pond, where did you get your satellite.xml info from?

"Satfind shows SNR:63 AGC:88 BER:0"
Doesnt say anything about if you have a sat signal or not.. Put your hand on the LNB and see if the AGC drops, first than you will now for sure that the receiver is actually picking up something..

I hope it helps...

what Ku band satellite are you pointing at?
61W AMAZONAS

what dish size?
60 cm

how have you confirmed you are aligned to a sat?
I didn't

what have you done to scan for transponders?
I ran Transponder Scan

As you are over the pond, where did you get your satellite.xml info from?
I got from _http://satellites-xml.eu/ satellites.xml generator / transponder .ini generator

I put my hand and nothing changed.

What is satfind for?

From your replies, it seems clear your dish is not aligned to any Satellite.

My 528 also shows high AGC when it's not receiving anything.. Chinese clone :)
The best thing is to use another sat receiver that you have used before to align the antenna. If you dont have another one I'd suggest you to buy a cheap "sat beeper".. Google it and you will find it..
Otherwize, if you have a friend that can help you do like this:
On kingofsat.net you can search for a channel that you know has a strong signal where you live. Write down the settings for it (frequence, polarization, baud rate, etc.).
Than in the dreambox choose to do a "manual tp scan". Select all the settings that you wrote down from the website. Now, let your friend watch the TV and tell you if the box "locked" gets selected, while you are fine-tuning the dish. Then you will now for sure that you found a satellite, and probably the right one.
Also check your neighbours antennas how they are aligned, to get a hint where you should start pointing it, you can also use a compass.. Dont forget to move the dish EXTREMLY slowly when looking for sats...

Pacmyc, thank you so much for the support.
I'll follow the steps you gave.
I really thought it wasn't that hard to pointing a sat.
