Hello folks,
Whilst trying to perfect reception i noticed that by raising the lnb arm slightly i gained 2 extra hours of bbc2, not wishing to stand outside in holding it up whilst my wife sits inside watching t.v i went with my tuning fork:-rofl2:-rofl2:-rofl2:-rofl2:-rofl2 see pics.

Raising elevation does not help so can anyone enlighten me on what exacly is happening and how to remedy it. If not maybe i could market these forks as a fine tuning device to sky installers:-rofl2

I eagerly anticipate your comments.

Hi,

I don't live in Spain, others on this forum do and have far more knowledge of reception problems with Astra2. However I do have an Inverto Black Ultra attached to my Gibertini 1M. I have this set in towards the dish focus about halfway along it's length. Perhaps by using your incremental tuning instrument (garden fork) you are pushing the LNB slightly towards the dish focus. It may be worth experimenting with setting the LNB further in towards the dish and see if there is an improvement.

Might also suggest the boom arm is slightly bent or out of shape effecting the focal alignment.

The LNB looks to be not pointing at the dish centre. LNB holder bent?
Ref your elevation adjustment, dont forget that by lifting the LNB in
relation to the dish you are DROPPING the elevation. (Initially the prop
will take up the slack in the LNB holder arms)
