I was wondering if anyone in my neck of the woods has managed to recieve Five 24/7 on a 1.2 meter dish since the transponder change a month ago. I lose signal for 90mins at around 9pm (8Pm GMT). Anyone else?

I haven't spoken to my relatives in Estepona recently but they always had to have a 1.3m dish. Perhaps this is the important difference?

Five havent changed transponders,have they?

I was told they have, and it seems to me they have, as we never used to get any signal.

In Spain dishes are usually described by their longer (vertical) dimension by dealers and Spanish installers, everyone else uses the horizontal measurement, so the 1.3 described above is really a 1.2m. Causes a great deal of confusion.

Why do people always try to make it more confusing?

because you re in spain..............smile:)
latino mentality is exaggeration in everything to make more money;)
but to your diametre problem. instead of buying a new antenna try a new lnb. the best is an invacom 0,3 db !!! it will be 30 euros but the difference especially on bbc is tremendous.
ciao from marbella
