Today i disasemble all the installation and for my surprise all the motor frame were loose thats why i had too much play in the pole of the motor.

I put the pole as much as possible plumb and now is almost full vertical. Next week i will place a wire pulling from the rear part.

My dish is to much heavy i know and i have this installation from 2014 soon i will replace for 1.8 porlar mount but until that moment i would like to fix this one.

this afternoon i got to tune in 28, 19, 16, 13, and 0.1W more or less fine tomorrow i will try again.

What i did today is to change the position of the motor on the clamps i had before in the upper scale which 40 is the mInimun reached. that was so extrange for me because my location is 37 latitude.

Now is like this

Try stabilising with a couple of wooden planks from the front, cut so that they prop the rear of the gearbox and run into the void in front of the pole.

yes you are right, placing a little piece of wooden (in red the zone), i suppouse you mean just between the pole and the clamp in the lower zone to gain the inclination needed.

Now i get on 19ºE ARD HD 14db before 9db but now i loose all sats from 0.1W till 30W. i suppouse that my status now is

1587319278208.png

Also to the E for example 28.2E now i get on tcm+1 12db before 14db.

Now thta i can set up the latitude to 37 in the scale i think i will havent the problem that i had before if get 30W maximum for example RTP HD 18db on the E in 19E ard hd 9db

Just a little doubt that i have, which would be my southern satellite? because i have doubts i thought that was 1ºW but checking on google other locations near choose 7ºW

thanks

I´ve been following this and another live thread, also been looking in the archives for info on setting up a motorised system.
If you advise your GPS location, I will attempt to tell you which satellite.
However I could get it wrong, but if I do I´m sure one of the other people here will correct me!

What make and model of engine is it, curiosity.?
Televes antennas? (according to photo), they are very heavy and the mast seems to be 35 millimeters, with all the weight it is flexible, when turning to the sides as Hispasat falls more.

Don't forget to lower the lid of the LNB Inverto.
So you don't need electrical tape on the connector.

The motor powertech dg240.

Yes the dish weight is 12kg but in 6 year 0 problems. The pole is strong no bended never.

When you are setting up with USALS, you don't really need a definite 'south sat'?
Orn why do you want to know?

yes that´s why i ask because always though 1ºW was shuthern and i read near my location 5ºW.

today almost finish i get astra 19º 100% , 5ºW 100% hispasata 30ºW 100% the only sat which decrease is 27.5W from 10.25 now 7db.

I still have to tune in sharpless moving motor from receveiver to the West. Tomorrow i will give a try today also is windy and cloudy not the best day to test.

What its strange its that some frequecies are not working 0% signal like ard hd and tf1 13db almost 90%. also happen on 16ºE maybe i have to reflash image to my receiver.

Maybe you should consider trying a Laminas like mine. The dish face is fibreglass so relatively light. Not sure if they have an importer in Spain though..

I've got a Laminas 1.2 I want to get shot of. Almost new. Not sure if I am allowed to post details here. If not can one of the mods please delete this post.

@antrabe where are you located. It would be helpful to know so we can advise you properly on how to set up your motor.

@Huevos Carry on - If @antrabe doesn't take it off your hands, you could widen the net and advertise it in our Classifieds

the center of Andalucia 37N 4.8W. I found out that the the dish is very good adjust still i want to gain more db on 27.5W but the reason why i didnt receive any signal on some transponders should be the output rf connector of the motor. I were crazy because its more or less easy but if some tp are not working fine.........
Im going to check the conector the cable because sometime appear zdf hd wirh 15db and sometimes 0db. also happens in others tps like 30w and 16E.

I will check the dish advise althoug its only for a time because when i could i will install my 1.8m televes.

Let see ...........................

thanks
