Been effing hot down here since we arrived. Low to mid thirties nearly every day. Today is overcast and much cooler and there's a 99% probability of a storm tonight. A good day to do some work without melting!

I lit the fire this morning, just to take the chill out of the house.

Tomorrow should be OK apparently.

Sun goes in, sun comes out, son goes in, sun comes out, that's the past few days in a nutshell... :-doh

Thankfully not cold enough to stoke up the boiler...:-rofl2

Well, we're in Haute Savoie, and it's just under 20 degrees here. Was pooring down yesterday, and tomorrow they forecast 22 degrees or more! Hoorah!
We've been pretty lucky with weather during the past two weeks here - last week was 30+, kids were enjyoing various bathing facilities and we were enjoying the cool rosé (although from Rhone, so nearer to Vaucluse than the local watery Gamay stuff).
This week not so warm, but nevertheless just spent an hour and a half on the mini-golf course with the kids, so great holidays all in all.
In a minute I'll fire up the kitchen appareil, i've sourced some good Faux Filet at the butcher's, and I have a Gigondas cooling down a bit before it will be opened.
Very sorry, but no sat reception equipment on the hols this time - didn't fit in the plane luggage. Next time, though, will be by car, and with plenty of space for a dish or two...

Im missing the sun in Przno Montenegro :(

Daytime temperatures well into the 30s, with the hottest day (a trip into Albania) an oppressive 43C in the shade!

It's +32℃ in my home town in Russia. A place where it apparently always snows. Heck, it's warmer and sunnier in Yakutsk, where winter time temperatures are -50℃(!) than here :(

Sadly, my next holiday is not until September and that's down in rainy Cornwall...

Fx: Blinks!

's awful quiet in here! Fairport Cropredy currently. I thought we'd got off lightly yesterday with just a couple of showers around 20:00 but it set in from 22:30. Driving back at 25 mph because it was raining so hard. Deffo not weather to be camping in.

It started raining here around 2AM and is still at it, I had to go in the garden and tie some plants up, the constant rain had flattened them:(

Stopped raining here a couple of hours ago. Currently watching the Proclaimers on what's turned into quite a pleasant evening

Yellowing tree leaves here heralding my favorite season AUTUMN

Regards

A long line of stormy weather stretching way back into England is skimming just to the east of us atm. Its raining hard enough out to the south east to be knocking out the strong 52E signals & I can hear a few occasional rumbles of thunder.

Was +28C earlier but then the thunder came and the heavens opened.

At least the insects will have drowned... :-rofl2

Does this count ..............

Some papers 'predicting' tornadoes (at least down south ) Monday.

More firelighting material though.
