Hi guys,
I have beeing around and i have being reading alot about the DB500. In so far i installed it, configured it, and made it work.
I am very pleased with my little box.
After alot of reading, i installed a nfs share on my PC, then i installed flashwizard pro, i set it up with the colloseum image and the pli flubber image and the gemini 3.10 image. Everything worked i can boot the image i like in the start up screen of the DB500.
I even installed a couple of cams in the gemini image. But when i wanted to copy the latest k*y files from my pc to my nfsshare var keys, windows says it can not write in this map.

Is there somwhone who would like me to tell how i can make this happen.
I am very new in the dreambox world, and i am learning every minut off the day.
I searched on the forum here, but i could not find a simular problem.

Many thanks in advance

Sounds like you're having a good play with your box! What file permissions have been set on your NFS folder?

Hi,

I set file permissions to rw, like was mentioned in " how to nfs " here on this site.

I've not tried NFS since last year and have never used FWP. Is var/keys on your PC or Dreambox? If on PC, do you, as a Windows user, have rights to write to it? Can you write to it if you unmount it first (if applicable)?

Hopefully a FWP user will be able to help you more.

Hi,
var/keys is on my pc, i noticed that FlasWizard pro has made a map " fwpro " and this is read only. I tried everything i stopped the nfs service, ive tried to make it rw, but nothing seams to work.

Kind regards

I would remove the read-only attributes from the keys folder:

right click > properties > unitck read-only

Ok, I found it. ( stupid stupid stupid me ).
You have to start a ftp connection with the dreambox, he automaticly shows the var map from where you booted the image.
So if you boot from a image on your harddisk, and you ftp to the dreambox, you are in the map var on the pc. So you can upgrade the files there.

Thanks for your help.
