Hi Guys me again. I want to save my image off my dm800 hd pvr and restore it to another identical box with same simm and bl. Can I use flashwizard to do this? willl it save all my settings epg boquets etc. If not whats best to use for a complete image save and restore. Again cheers for help on this gr8 forum.

OK I have trawled other forums and have come up with a result that I will share here in case others want to use it. I have successfully saved my image. The test will come when I get my new dreambox and try to restore it to that. I will update this thread on the results. Anyway here is a mini tut on how to do it...

Steps
1.. Download Enigma2 Dreambox Backup and unrar it then ftp it to your Tmp folder on your dreambox using DCC

2.. Open a telnet session in DCC and run this command ipkg install /tmp/packagename.ipk
Be aware that the file name is case sensitive. After the command has completed reboot your box and go to plugins and look for NFI Backup this backs up the entire system. It will save it to your hard disk. (about 6 mins)

3.. FTP to your box and navigate to your hard disk look for the backup file and send it to your PC it should have this kind of name..

backup-dm800-2011-05-19@15.54.52-SSL-76.nfi

BTW Flashwizard pro only works with Enigma1 and does not work with enigma2.

Some images have a backup feature included.
You can aso download it as a "Flash backup" plugin.

If you want to backup images from external flash (multiboot), you can use "Meoboot or Barry Allen" for this.
