Flood control is enabled. Please wait at least 0 seconds before attempting to search again
I understand the need for flood control in the search box, but found this message a little weird (clearly I'd judged the "wait at least 12 seconds" that I'd received just before a little too finely :) ).

Well I am not convinced about many things however, I do know that browser timeouts (I use Chrome with XP) appear to be all over the place ATM. If I go to yahoo to play a video clip my browser brings up a box a few times during that video clip saying that the page has become unresponsive and do I wish to wait or kill, so I suspect that this has more to do with support for XP software slowly disappearing than anything else, whereas I am not seeing any of the above reported errors on this forum

Nor me.

But it might be "Status" dependent: Before getting the Green then the Blue Hat, I used to get Search Restrictions under the old software. Perhaps the new software has similar features?

Bring back Valves, that's what I say.

That's great - thanks very much (am assuming that I am established :) ).

Must admit that I hadn't noticed that we were lying low in the water.

You shouldn't be subject to flood control.

OK thanks, but I just tried searches for "flood" and "control" within the space of about 5 seconds and voilà...
Flood control is enabled. Please wait at least 13 seconds before attempting to search again
:(

As an aside, it would be helpful to be able to search for 2 character terms, for example "9E" :)

Yes it would be, but most forum search engines will not allow it due to the potential strain on the server.

Will point out the flood control problem to Chris.
