This has been growing in my meadow for a while and began flowering yesterday. It's a beautiful delicate pink flower, but I have a feeling it's a variety of opium poppy. Any ideas what it is, or should I contact the gendarmes before the local Taliban start a covert cell here?

Quite possibly an opium poppy, there are lots of them around, probably a seed dropped by a bird which originated in a neighbour's garden.

Oh no!! My French neighbours are Taliban 'sleepers' LOL (No wonder I've only spoken to them less than ten times since moving here)
