A simple idea - what took it so long to be realised?

I like multi-adaptor, that would definitely save space in my rooms :-rofl2

What a great idea. Let's hope it doesn't have a huge price premium though.

Can't see it being possible to have just the plug for aftermarket fitment either. That would be a shame.

Thanks, the wife saw this on the morning TV and thought it was a simple but brilliant idea.

It would save the hospital costs of treading on a plug in the dark as well (no fun)

Nothing on the BBC website though for some reason.

Just mentioned in passing on their video CH.

I like the idea of them, I've actually seen it before, but there's some arguing the case that it won't conform to BS1362 cos it won't be able to handle 13 amps being put through it (think of the numpties who wrap fuses with tinfoil or replace 3A fuses with 13A fuses), and therefore would not be approved for use in the UK... :(

The funny thing is the arguments raised cos of it here:

Some adapters that have the standard 3-pin design are limited from 13 Amp operation by the use of a smaller design fuse (max 5 Amp). The niche market of small power electrical goods the inventor is trying to capture use no more than 2 Amps at any time.

No, the 3 pin adapters that are supplied with goods that have a two pin (euro) plug on them.
