30 years today Sky News was launched. To celebrate the birthday Sky News Raw HD is running on Sky epg 523.

Its a unique opportunity to see behind the scenes at the Sky News operation. There are almost 40 cameras dotted around the building including in the transmission gallery and the production offices. To me its far more interesting than the actual news :D Theres some of the talkback being played in as well.

In an event to mark 30 years of Sky News, 32 cameras and microphones are being installed around the newsroom to capture the comings and goings of reporters, presenters and producers for "Sky News Raw", available live from 7am-5pm on 5th February 2019 on the Sky News website

Good News broadcast I was amazed at the amount of TV screens & staff employed for The Sky News channel.
 
Thoroughly enjoyed that and quite a big event for something internal. Just the amount of Big Brother style cameras dotted around the newsroom was surprising, as was the amount of kit at the bottom of each post. Then right at the end, in true feed style the video was pulled without ceremony, not even a colour bar :)

There's overseas subscription TV for that stuff. :-wow

Sorry about that - I was running late getting out the house for work but I wanted to get the service quickly reported so everyone who was interested in it had a chance to have a look.. Thanks to the lads around during the day for filling in the details :)
