Only till 1630 - then they cut to the Man Utd footie!

It was also on Poker TV for a while - the Sky Sports UK coverage complete with Martin Brundle's commentary.. But after a couple of technical gremlins they went to poker after an hour....

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
Qualifying for the Spanish GP looks like being "interesting": it's raining ATM during P3 and virtually no-one is, or has been, out on the circuit because it seems to be wet, but not to be "wet enough" for inters or xtreme wets in many places and so those that are out there now are going off in lots of places because it's so greasy!!

So most of the drivers won't have had much experience in the conditions, especially as the circuit has been changed a bit since last year!

Edited: That was about 20-30 mins ago, the rain seems to have abated and "everyone" was out on Soft slicks -> 1st= MV, 2nd= SP, 3rd= Lewis. Wonder what will happen later??

I'm not sure I would classy Indycar as "more competitive" - just often more "roundy roundy" boring for online spectators!

Only a few roundy roundy races a season! This weekend it is a street circuit in Detroit. At least with Indycar we don't know who is going to win every race in advance

Whilst the winners are less predictable, even the street circuits are generally so wide that driving errors aren't often penalised by accidents - but I will admit that any resulting crashes do then tend to be "somewhat interesting":p

The Detroit track is narrow and bumpy with a novelty pit lane so it could get messy :-ohmy

OK, I haven't yet followed a full lap of the Detroit cct this year - but if that's "narrow" then how would you characterise most of Monaco , Jeddah or many parts of Baku??:confused

I'll give you "bumpy" though as I don't think I'd want to even drive a road car around that cct at high speed!

Monaco - all narrow, relatively smooth
Jeddah - a normal circuit classed as a street circuit to circumvent safety regs
Baku - has both wide and narrow sections, good surface

Detroit road surface is poorer than any of the above and much bumpier. Has some wide areas but also many are narrow. Easiest way to find out is to watch - qualifying tonight & race tomorrow. I also believe it is a new track layout for this year so any videos from before yesterday aren't of the track in use this weekend.

I've just taken a look at most of a lap of Indycar qualifying at Detroit - what an awful location that looks like (and probably is) mainly a huge building site!:-doh

PS: I could see what you meant about "bumpy" - but, from what I've read (not here!), not that much worse than many main routes in the US and would serve well as a "torture track" for testing new vehicles!
