Passion/Passion+/Innovation RS232 Download Manager & v1.50 Loader.

This requires a Null Modem cable, and if your PC/Laptop does not have an RS232 Port, USB/RS232 cable converters are easily available on Ebay etc

Always update the Loader first to v1.50, if necessary, and then install the latest firmware, available from the Fortec Star Download page. The loader is common to all 3 models, but the correct firmware MUST be installed for each specific model.

You Sir are a hero!

Had my Passion+ bricked due to what I found afterwards an unreliable USB stick which corrupted the firmware on upload. Using the program it was easy to unbrick the unit.

A few hints if it is not working out of the box:

I found that I had to run it in administrator mode on win7 (right click application --> run as administrator) otherwise it wouldn't properly use my usb2serial adapter.
The upload did at first not work until I reduced speed to 9600 ... incredibly slow but it worked. I did that both in the device manager and in the program.
