After deciding that I didn't want Mr R Murdoch getting any of my money, I recently bought my first satellite receiver - a FortecStar Ultimate and spent a precarious few hours installing a dish and aligning it to Astra 28.2E. I now get hundreds of extra (but mainly rubbish!) channels.
The receiver is fairly good but I have no experience of any other box to compare. But it has a big problem with the timer recording - it records a different channel to the one programmed!! Anybody else have this problem? The receiver came with al7bar fw v2.992 but, on the advice of wizard satellite, I upgraded it to v2.999 but the problem remains. Is it worth trying the offical version (2.987PAL)?
