Moving the dish till I get strong signals, and then changing the sat on the reciever
till the receiver meter shows a signal against one or more of its sats.

I get

Signal 1...
Eurobird 9e

Signal 2...
Nilesat 7w
Telecom2d&ab 8w

Signal3...
Sirius2,3 5e

5E, Thats the nearest I can get to south, will that do?

Looks like that's the one you'll have to use for your reference sat then.

Still can't understand why you can't get Thor if you can receive sats west of this. Have you a tree or something blocking the line of sight to 1w?

Clear line of sight. Thor must be the highest, centre of arc.

I had no problem finding THOR with the SL65?

I managed to navigate from Sirius to astra28e
then nudged the dish on remote for best signal before saving.

Back on the ladder tomorrow, weather permiting?

Purchased Passion+ just before Christmas and, although pleased with quality, don't understand why I am not receiving all the regular channels. Am missing, BBC 2, 3, 4, some ITV channels (namely for my region East Anglia) as well as Channels 4 and 5. Any ideas on how I can add them to the Channels available?

Also, the TV or Programme Listing doesn't seem to come up as it should. It shows what's on at the time you look at it but no forward information. Again, any help out there?
Thanks in advance

Donald read this link through as it helped me when I first purchased this system and it helped a memeber in the same position as yourself a couple of weeks ago,it seems it is a noted problem with this set up but the lack of info that comes with the system leaves this important fact out, dont be put of by the name change in the post as this was a mickey take on the name due to the prob

Thanks Tony. Based on your useful link, think our problem may be alignment of the satellite dish which we already had and were using with SKY (not a subscription service but all our own equipment). When weather bit more amenable will get up there and adjust dish.

Hi All,

@mick2me...Im not up with the Passion + yet, just had it on a couple
of times, but one thing I have noticed with it is, If you have a cam in and
its not upto date with keys, you reciever shows No sig quality and No Sig strength.
The Passion + just flatlines, Ether pull out cam, or put an up to date
Bin file.
That was the case with intelsat (1w) (DigiFilm 1) No Signal, loaded new
Keys Digitv light Up. Another Glitch was, No upto Date Keys and the Passion+
would Not Initialise the Diablo Cam.
You could pull out Cam and put it on to a Thor FTA Channel, you should
pull in a Sig then.

Hi all, Can anyone point me as to were I can Download a Free Program (tool)
to Burn a HDD Recording from the Passion +,To DVD or DVD-RW or DVD+RW
so I can pass the Disk on to anyone with a DVD Player.
