hello i have just bought a foxsat hd box and i cannot get the signal through my videorecorder although followed all instructions, when it does it only seems to see 1 channel through the videorecorder although when i do a scan the videorecorder see's around 30 channels but only seem to show 1, also i was woundering how to if possible to record freesat and watch another channel eg through the tv it's self like you i could when i was with sky .. please help thankyou :)

In order to see one channel and record another you need two tuners in the receiver. The Foxsat HD only has one tuner but the Foxsat HDR has two tuners (together with a hard disc for storage).

What is your video recorder? As the Foxsat HD doesnt have a moduator the only way you can record from it is through a scart lead, which doesnt need to be tuned in. It's likely that all of the channels you've found are from your normal terrestrial transmissions, I would have thought.

thankyou for your reply i understand about the foxsat hd and foxsat hdr, but what i dont understand is why the videorecorder which is a daewoo video and dvd recorder will only find 1 channel which seems to be the foxsat allthough i cannot get any other channel eg: terrestrial transmissions although when i scan it picks up 30 channels and only goes to 1 on matter what number the video is on it will only see one channel, i dont understand why as when i was with sky tv i could get terrestrial transmissions as well as sky through the videorecoder ... thankyou :)

How have you got the aerial connected? As the Foxsat doesnt have a modulator just connect the aerial straight to the video. The FS will then be tuned in via the scart

As both Analoguesat and I have said, the Foxsat doesn't have a modulator or TV aerial loop-through so cannot output its channels over the aerial lead. The $ly boxes do have this, so they can.

Sorry. it's not going to work the way want now.

thankyou for all your replys what i have done is to dismantle all equipment and then the first thing i done was to tune in the dvd video recorder so i could get terrestrial channels and then i tuned in another dvd player and then the foxsat box now i can record from foxsat and or the tv channels and watch either one while i am recording

thankyou for your help :):)
