Decided to put in a separate dish for the Overseers Fransat on 5 West. An 80cm dish is recommend but as it can be seen from the street I thought a Penta Digit would look better and at £50 a good price. I get a very strong signal on the Fibo 90 so OK I hope.

Nice to know I will not have any problems, although I wonder whether to take you seriously because you are always laughing away in the screen margin.

Pentas are very good reflector surfaces, one of the best out there.

@TJExcalibur
Might be an idea to consider actually using a Zone 1 or 2 dish as then nobody will take the slightest notice of it - there probably being lots of other Sky dishes on house walls around you - and it will probably be a lot cheaper (or even free if you want to come over here and take the surplus Zone 2 dish that is in my garage as I don't know what else to do with it!)

Thanks for the offer but a Sky dish looks like an old frying pan and I like to annoy my neighbour (the one that opposed my planing application for a big dish). A Penta Digit will make her think I have a link to the KGB. :eek:

Tell them they are ham antennas as you are looking for flying pigs.

If anyone asks, tell 'em that all that stuff is part of an early warning system in case of war, and that they will be first to know after you!

It all depends on if a public road/place (not your garden) can be seen on the cctv.

If you also want it for evidence in court it needs to have date and time stamp, plus the ico licence will register your cctv system with your local police station, so if the police are investigating a major crime they may come and knock your door to view the cctv footage. I have a school opposite me and on of my cameras view the top of my drive/public road. So I didn’t take any chances, had my license for a few years. I have to adhere to the data protection act regarding the cctv footage especially if it has car reg plates or peoples faces.

I have used my cctv footage to help police prosecute a local low life.

The thing the police have recommended is to try and capture footage from more than one angle.

Yes my one camera covers the whole street, I have had people ask for footage when I bike got stolen and they thought it might have come past my property, I was more than happy to help.
Blown away with these cameras, I'm going to get a motorised zoom/focus camera soon for the front.
I use a dedicated PC as the NVR.
