Francarro Penta 60 cm or triax 80 cm

Hi

i am sure this has been covered many times so i apologise for this.

I am wanting to receive both astra 19e and hotbird 13e. I would like to have the smallest dish possible to do this and have been told an 80cm dish would be best for this for my location(Liverpool)

I have also been told that a Francarro Penta 68cm dish will perform as well if not better than an 80cm dish.

I would like to know if this is true and also would it work with a monoblock so i could receive both satellites.

Not sure about that but satellites required are both fairly high powered so a decent 80cm should suit.

Anyhow, welcome to the forum :)
 
Thanks for the welcome and the quick response.I would like to keep the dish size down if possible. I am new to the satellite scene so I know very little. Would a mononlock work with the fracarro?

A penta 68 should suffice :D

I've done this setup on one of these before. The only thing to take into account is that the lnb holder on the Penta 68 is quite large so one of the plastic multilnb holder won't fit as it doesn't have the room on the lnb for it.

You have to use one of the metal Triax type multi lnb holders.

The other dish to look out for is the Visio Bisat dish.

I've been Installing them in London for the last few weeks for 13e & 28e and they do work quite well. They are Fibreglass so they don't rust and they are smaller hight wise than most other dishes.

They are also capable of working with a lot more than 2 lnbs on them. I've installed them with 4 lnbs in the past for 9e, 13e, 16e & 19.2e.
