Listen Up Free ransomware decryption tools

What's really worrying to me is the number of different nasties that appear to be waiting out there. I hope I never have to use this link but thanks anyway.

Mmmm well this is all very well however, who is to say that the downloads available in the link are virus and trojan free?

As with Google play who once again this month have removed numerous apps from Google Play stores because they were loaded with trojans and bank info stealers, how can anyone trust anything on-line, if Google cannot protect folk from such problems in their Play store then what chance does the average punter stand?

Example one

Example two

What is annoying is that the QR barcode reader is what began my two year nightmare and necessitated me buying a new phone and suffering hacking of my on-line accounts and they have only just discovered it is lethal? Google must be incompetent or some employees complicit in the scams.

@Topper
Ref EMISOFT - I have received regular (at least weekly) for over a year with updates and news from them because they are promoting their own anti-malware s/w!

OTOH, so far, I have yet to see any indication from elsewhere about risks from their s/w as I get a lot of similar heads-ups from many of their main-stream competitor vendors of similar stuff - and I am sure that the latter wouldn't hesitate to "point the finger" at EMISOFT if given the chance!.

Therefore I am inclined to believe EMISOFT s/w does do what is claimed.

Well thanks for the assurance, I have never come across them before, but even so it seems odd for a company to be distributing software FOC to the general public to perform the same task that normally costs thousands.
