I recon' freeview is pretty good ....... I was wondering when Sky are going to fall in & harmonise & call theirs "Rip Off View" ;)

Now TUTV ....... I just don't understand that at all........ There never seems to be anything on the EPG ........ Unless that only works if the cams/card/whatever is in .... That kinda wouldn't make sense tho' .......... Ahh ferkit .... Who you think I am Einstein ? :-worship

Hello,
I am looking for a receiver for HD Freesat. I would like to see :
PVR capability.
Upscaling of SD.
Freeview tuner which could decode HD Freeview when it appears.
I guess this means that until the HD Freeview spec is finalised the 2nf tuner should be a pluggable S2

Thanks
Robbie

Do you mean Freeview, or Freesat, if you mean terrestrial Freeview, I will move your post.

I think he's asking for a dual platform receiver that'll receive HD satellite and HD terrestrial, when it appears.

Yes, I mean a dual platform receiver, both HD Sat and SD Freeview until HD Freeview appears. It seems to make sense to have both options on one box, to pick up via Freeview, the channels which are FTV and not FTA.

Yesterday I parted with a not unsubstantial amount of cash for this receiver: VANTAGE HD7100TS

Then I read this thread. Have I just wasted £400? Is there a chance that I'll be able to receive FREESAT?

All I wanted this for was for various HD channels already out there as I'm finding it more and more difficult to enjoy SD programming...
