The EPG is one of the main reasons for having a Freesat receiver, rather than a simple FTA box, so perhaps the questions answers itself!
When you move on to a PVR then this EPG becomes more important as it can be used to schedule recordings and, on Freesat, can take into account late starts, series recording and alternative times to record.
