FreeSat in Albania

HD Sat receiving singal from Eutel W2 16.

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could advise me of what i need to watch FreeSat in Albania?

An enormous dish ............... and even then you'd be hard pressed to get much of what Freesat offers (BBC, ITV etc) as the PSB Channels, in Free To Air form, are transmitted from Astra 2D which has negligible coverage in Albania.

So you'd be restricted to not much more than a load of minority Channels.

Fine if you like Teleshopping.
 
Are their no other free satalities servers which oer the basic channels such as BBC 1,2,3 ITV CH4 , 5. Thats all i need basically.
 
Nope - just Astra 28E. Your profile says you are in the UK & your IP is in the UK as well - are you moving to Albania?

They are heavily Rights restricted, so it would not be legitimate for the Broadcasters and Satellite Operators to make it easy to get them "out of area".

The FrresatfromSky route might yield some (limited) dividends, because the Encrypted versions of some of the PSB Channels are technically easier to receive than the Free To Air ones, as the Satellites used have wider coverage.
 
Your best option would be a Slingbox, providing you have a decent internet connection at each end.

Hmm .................. not when large parts of the UK alone have no realistic prospect, for years to come, of fast and reliable Broadband at sensible prices.

Despite what Government says.
 
I live on the Greek islands and watch bbc itv perfectly with a 5 euro a month vpn and 2mb connection. Quality is very good live and iplayer.
 
Nice ................ my connection peaks at 750k and many rural folk in the UK have no broadband at all.

So your forecast of the demise of Satellite TV is somewhat premature, I'd say!
