Hi
I am going out to Spain next week and I want to take a Pace box out there to leave. Can I buy a Freesat card to work in it in Spain and if so where can I buy one from.

Welcome to satellites,
Yes you can get a freesat card for your pace receiver but your only gain a handful of additional channels, five, five US, fiver & Sly 3 I believe. If I have missed any, others please add them :D

Sl<y can supply freesat cards for £20.

I doubt they could get a card to you in a week though!

With our postal system now you would be lucky to get it at all, we have had terrible problems recently, a postman who put everyone's mail in the house next door who when challenged about it then started ranting at an 84 year old pensioner who complained to him. Needless to say they sent him to cause havoc elsewhere and the guy we have now is not a problem.

Hi
I have a HD ready TV in my apartment in Spain. If I take my pace box and freesat card would I be able to receive hd broadcasts.I know these things should be obvious but I am a bit new to all this.

Assuming that your satellite dish is large enough and that it is a $ly HD box, then yes.

You'll only get BBC HD (together with a waste-of-bandwidth programme I can't remember) though. ITV HD and C4 HD are out of reach of the setup you propose. If you have a $ly subscription, rather than an FTV card, then things are rather different - although still no ITV HD, that's reserved for FreeSat ATM.
