Freesat... Pay Channels?? How does it work?

Sky Digital UK,
Freesat HD - TX-P42G10B
My Location
United Kingdom, England
Right I have a Panasonic TV with Freesat HD(Built In) right and I was messing about with the Satellite Channels and found out that I am able to get it to get all Channels Pay and Free Channels...

So here's the question how do you enable to the Pay Channels it must be some kinda card that does it right? or its not possible? it just shows them for nothing its a waste of space LOL... if so then ill just make it get only free channels dun wanna scroll through pay channels for no reason.

The pay channels are Sky channels on the same sats. You need a Sky box, card and subscription to watch them. Your Panasonic will not be able to view them. Freesat only has Free channels. The Freesat EPG should only show the channels available. Some free Sky channels usually have to be manually added.
 
Ah Right... So its useless LOL NVM then :P worth a try... Well am getting quite a few Sky Free Channels which is cool LOL especially coz am a asian and am getting stuff like NDTV Imagine extra on it.. :P sweet hehe.
 
Free (FTA) Channels are just that .......... Free. The fact that they may happen to appear on the Sky EPG is not terribly relevant, as they can be viewed with a Freesat Receiver (as you've found) or any cheap and cheerful Digital Satellite Receiver.

Strictly speaking, the only "Sky" Channels are those exclusive to Sky ie requiring a Sky Viewing Card to permit decryption.

NDTV Imagine is a Free To Air (FTA) Channel and so is not exclusive to Sky.

hmm? sorry didn't get what u mean by update it... I already have Sky Digital UK in my profile.. and if am thinking it wrong and you mean that I should change it to Freesat.. mmm I have Sky Digital in my lounge this Freesat is in my room... so yeah ill leave it at SKY Digital LOL
 
Ah, I thought you might have joined the army of those who had "seen the light" and ditched $£€ !!
 
LOL... nah not yet Skys still got me hooked to it cant live without Sky Sports... and cant watch online live coz stupid BT keeps bugging me every month says you have nearly used 80gb if you go over 100gb will put u on restricted peak hours. so even though I have my friends Sky Player account I have to buy my own sky sports coz BT keep complaining.
